How to Borrow Money on your Coins, Stamps & Paper Money:
You can use your coins; stamps and paper money just like stock certificates or
bonds as collateral for a loan at Edelman's. For over 75 years Edelman's has been
granting loans on collateral. We are licensed, bonded and operate under the
supervision of the Banking Department of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since
1926.
It is easy to obtain a loan
Loans are made quickly and confidentially, with out inquiry regarding credit or
income. You can bring in your collection or just forward it by registered mail, Federal
express or UPS. For your convenience an application form is available on our web
site. As soon as your collateral is received it will be carefully and appraised by our
experts. Our staff is qualified to make a fair evaluation and their appraisal will be the
basis of the loan. If you have any information that would help us in our appraisal you can enclose copies with your collateral. We normally lend up to 65% of the
collateral's wholesale value. You will continue to retain ownership of your collection.
If we grant the amount you requested, our check and loan receipt will me mailed,
usually the same day your collection is received. If we are not able to grant the
desired amount, we will inform you what we can loan. Your collection will be held
pending your approval.

What your loan costs:
There is no charge for appraisal, handling or storage. If you accept our offer all you
pay is the rate set by state law. The interest rate charged is 1 ½ to 2% per month
depending upon the sum of the loan and the collateral. Some small loans under
$2000.00 are subject to 3% per month. Loans are granted up to $150,000.00. No
charges are deducted in advance. No payments are required for four months.
Loans may be renewed up to a maximum of thirty months. They may repaid in part
or full at any time before the maturity without penalty.
